Just another day at the hoffman school for wayward boys...

We got a book from the library, "Little clam" by Lynn Reiser, which has the boys excited at the prospect of being a clam.  We researched clams a little on the internet and I reported to them that clams had no eyes or head, but do have a mouth, heart, kidneys and anus.  Wolfie scrunched his brows and replied, "I'm still trying to work that one out."
Meanwhile, Vladdie is sitting in the drawer of the train table doing his best impression of an angry  Bay City Roller.

And Wolfie has grown a cinnamon soul patch...

And in the midst of this, another passenger train has gone down the tracks past our house, which is terribly exiting for the student body!  That's 2 this week.  Maybe they are preparing for that new passenger rail line?
I can hear the boys talking about "conquering" each other and...wait for it...ah, yes, tears are flowing from one while the other giggles.  I must thwart an invasion.  TTFN!

Has Spring sprung?

Finally!  The first snowdrops have sprouted!!!!!!!
But the snow still hasn't all melted!!!

It was in the 50's heading towards 60's yesterday, so the boys and I took a walk around the neighborhood.  We decided to make it a little more fun, so we made up a scavenger hunt sheet using our clip art.  We circled the items as we found them.
The goat is a family joke, we always include it in every finding game and, occasionally manage to find it!
We had a lot of fun, and some puddle jumping.  The boys met a new little girl on the street.  I always cringe when children ask Wolfie his name, because he has a vivid imagination and usually introduces himself as some vintage Japanese monster that no one recognizes and then I am left explaining that his name is actually Wolfgang, which usually causes people to think that I too am pulling their leg.  Today he introduced himself as "Web head".  No explanation.  Just "Web head".  I had shown him the old Spidey skits from the 1970's Electric Company on PBS and he fell in love with ol' Spidey, affectionately known as "web head".  Oh well.
