Shearing Day
We were so excited that it was finally shearing day! We headed out to Pierpont, Ohio to visit Roving Acres Farm. Here you see the sign made by my Dad-in-love. Unfortunately he was not with us today, but we wanted to be sure to appreciate the sign.
We spent some time admiring the sheep out in the glorious sunshine.
I spent some time admiring my sweetie.
Wolf dreams of running with them.
I donned the kerchief I knitted from some Roving Acres yarn.
A wee babe in arms.
Hi there!
I must give props to this gal. She gave birth to this doll this morning and she is entertaining company the same day. I can relate to this!
Time to shear Dennis. He is super cooperative. What a guy!
Showing his spots off.
Look at that fleece!
You just know that my honey got a little treat for me. Feast your eyes...

On our way home, we stopped by a new park in Perry, on the shores of Lake Erie, Lake Erie Bluffs. We shared a picnic, but it was very cold at this point. We braved the chilly temps and visited the beach. We were rewarded with an Eagle sighting!
Such a wonderful day! Special thanks to Beth and Sarah Karr for their hospitality and to Mud in yer eye for the beautiful music! Check out Roving Acres store for gorgeous wool!
